In 2007, an article written by the Ottawa Citizen was published informing the public of the 2000 square foot expansion in Salon Rouge . The article recognized Salon Rouge as the only boutique and high-end salon located in the north-end of Dalhousie Street in Ottawa’s ByWard Market.

In 2002, 2004 and 2010 Amir was crowned Best Colourist of the Year by the Schwarzkopf Academy.

Amir was also recognized and has continuously been given awards by:

Vidal Sassoon, Toni & Guy, Wella as well as Redken.

In August 2012, Amir was certified Master Stylist once again.
