Hair Salons in the ByWard Market | Salon Rouge is a Beauty Salon in Ottawa that encompasses 2,000 square feet of bright space balanced in a mix of red, black, and white modernity. Salon Rouge provides exceptional hair care, ranging from maintenance free looks to the hottest hair styles.

When Amir opened Salon Rouge at 222 Dalhousie Street in 2004, it was a small, cozy 1,000 square foot Salon, with the potential to do so much! As the clientele built, Amir knew that it wouldn’t be long before he would have to at least double in size to please his clients.

In 2008, Amir supported the rejuvenation of Dalhousie Street and completed a major expansion of Salon Rouge doubling its size and adding a number of top tier hairstylists. Becoming one of the Market’s largest, and most popular hair salons and businesses, Salon Rouge is an anchor in the middle of condo developments and boutiques in Ottawa’s trendy fashion district of “Dalhousie North”.

Amir’s work speaks for itself. He has been doing hair since he was 15 years old! Since 1992, and with continuous premiere training throughout Europe and North America, Amir’s talent and stylistic vision ensures that his customers expectations are exceeded. Amir’s expertise in hair care and fashion was fostered through training with renowned salons and stylists such as the world famous Tony & Guy, the legendary Vidal Sassoon and the Sebastian Cutting Team. As a certified master Colorist and master stylist, Amir was crowned Best Colorist of the year in 2002 by the Schwarzkopf Academy, Redken, as well as Wella.

Amir brought his professional skills to Ottawa in 1995 working with a number of established salons before opening Salon Rouge Hair Salon in 2004 on Dalhousie St., in the upper end of Ottawa’s Byward Market. His clientele range from those looking for the hottest new hair trends to business executives, politicians, and even the occasional international celebrity. In 2008, Amir expanded the Salon, doubling its size from 1,000 to 2,000 Square Feet, and brought in a number of highly qualified stylists to make Salon Rouge Ottawa’s largest, most prestigious beauty salon located in Ottawa’s trendy fashion district of Dalhousie North.

Personally, I feel that I have always had a desire for doing hair. Whether it was on my younger sister, friends or family, I have always enjoyed it. Since 2006 I have put that passion into action, and the handful of hairstylists in my family encouraged me to pursue my dream. As a hairstylist I make my clients happiness my first priority and take pride in the smile I put on their faces.

Born and raised on the East Coast, new to Ottawa to find my calling. A love of management and excellent customer service has brought me to Salon Rouge as a Salon Coordinator. I am excited to meet all of you, and I hope to be the smiling face to greet you at Salon Rouge for many years to come.

I am from a small town outside of Ottawa and decided to make my mark in the big city. I have been in the Beauty Industry since 2013. I love every aspect of it from cuts to colors you name it. I am friendly and outgoing and love making people happy. I am so excited to join the Salon Rouge team and creating my future here. I can’t wait to meet all of the beautiful people in Ottawa

I am a professional hairstylist and recently joined Salon Rouge. My Goal is to make your visit delightful so you leave feeling beautiful inside and out. My love for hair and expertise in colours is what makes me a great stylist.  I hope my bright and bubbly personality will make you feel like the VIP client that you are to me. I love being in beauty industry and have since I can remember. I love being able to create a new look for my guest through colors. It makes me happy to make people feel great and put a smile on the face. I'm thrilled to be part of the Salon Rouge Team and can't wait to meet all of you.
